BLADELESS LASIK (INTRALASE)

In the past, most Lasik procedures were performed by cutting a very thin flap of corneal tissue with a specialized blade called the Microkeratime. Although this procedure is very accurate and safe, a newer more precise method uses an actual laser to create this very thin flap. It is known as Intralase and is becoming the method of choice in most cases.
