Dr. Richard A. Sarlitt - Optometrist
Dr. Sarlitt earned his Bachelor of Science Degree from Marietta College in Ohio and went on to receive his Doctor of Optometry from the New England College of Optometry in Boston in 1971. Following his graduation from optometry school, he completed a specialized residency in children's visual training and development at the Optometric Center in New York.
After relocating to California, Dr. Sarlitt opened his optometric practice in Irvine in 1980, and feels fortunate to have had the opportunity to raise his family in this community as well. His 35 years of experience, as well as his ongoing training in special aspects of the field, has allowed him to offer his patients the broadest range of vision care options available today.
In addition to his extensive work with contact lenses, all types of spectacle and occupational lenses, and laser surgery co-management, Dr. Sarlitt is also certified in the use of diagnostic pharmaceutical agents (DPA) and therapeutic pharmaceutical agents (TPA) for the treatment and management of ocular diseases.
Dedicated to promoting the highest standards of his profession, Dr. Sarlitt is a past president of the Orange County Optometric Society and has been a member of the American and California Optometric Associations for over thirty years.
